A little light reading....
Took the day to do a little light light reading and on-line research. Found some of the reading by Schon a little heavy although A Handbook of Reflective and Experiential Learning (Moon) was a little easier to digest. Interested in the varying concepts of Pedagogy and theories of constructivism and instructivism. Having studied psychodynamic counselling I was fascinated by some of the therapeutic language used and the profound approach to reflective writing.

Hi Jacqui, I did some reading this weekend too - I started with Jennifer Moon as with doing a quick scan it did seem a little lighter than Schon! I'm really interested in the theories of linking emotion with reflection, as for me I don't feel that I can have one without the other! About to crack on with annotating my cv today, will be interesting if I already look at it through different eyes like you have. Melody
ReplyDeleteI like Moon but I also liked Kolb and Gibbs - a lot of reflective writing examples are also available on different university websites which I've found really helpful. How's the annotation coming along?
